Unlucky mare Balantes scored last week first up from a spell, after a shocking prep of bad barriers and just bad luck we decided to give her a break and start again.
Owner Alison was rewarded for her patience with the mare winning first up at Armidale. Given a perfect ride from apprentice Jackson Murphy from a awkward barrier (again) he managed to give her a lovely run in behind the leaders and push out into the straight to win easily.
